Basic principles of electrostimulation training

Training with electrostimulation

Training how to perform electrostimulation follows the same basic principles of sports training, which must be adapted in terms of time, frequencies, workloads and programmes, in order to achieve an organised approach that maximises its performance.

Caution: Electrostimulation training does not involve the whole body. For example, the cardiovascular system remains at a baseline rate.

It is necessary to consider not only the muscular characteristics to be developed, but also the way in which the training will influence the other parts of our body.

Resistance training, for example, improves muscle resistance and vascularisation, while explosive strength training requires considerable muscular tissue involvement, thus calling for quite long recovery periods, depending on the intensity of the training.
